The first AnthroIrish event took place on Saturday August 5th and Sunday August 6th 2023 in The Clayton Hotel Cork City. With 131 registered guests. Over the weekend, a variety of events such as The Opening Ceremony, Pub Quiz, Fursuit Games, DJ and Closing Ceremony, all of which have become staples within our in-house events offerings. In collaboration with photographer Allan Lu – He hosted a photoshoot slots throughout the weekend which was offered at ConOps for attendees to enjoy. For 2023 our Guest of Honour was Casey Explosions, (she/her) and Irish Twitch Streamer, who hosted “GOH Q&A” which had a great turnout. In the Closing Ceremony the theme for 2024, “Fairey Tail Creatures”.

AnthroIrish returned for a second year, in our new venue The Metropole Hotel Cork City on Saturday August 3rd and Sunday August 4th 2024 with 240 registered attendees. With Guest of Honour, Ladynightlight (she/her) who is an Irish Fursuit maker. In total, €695 was raise for local Food Bank, Feed West Cork. In the Closing Ceremony, the 2025 theme “Rebel’s Space Adventure” was teased with a full theme announcement and reveal taking place in October 2025.

In 2025,AnthroIrish took place on Saturday July 26th and Sunday July 27th in The Metropole Hotel Cork City. With a return of many of our past events but also some new ones on offer to such as the introduction of our Variety Show, which will return for 2026. In 2025 we had 300 confirmed registrations.

This year, we are thrilled to be home in The Metropole Hotel Cork City on Saturday August 1st and Sunday August 2nd for “Rebel’s Pirate Party”.
Grab yer maties and join the party on deck! At this time, all entry tickets are sold out however you can contact info.anthroirish@gmail.com to join the waiting list. Bedrooms for our venue can be acquired by contacting reservations@themetropolehotel.ie.

While the schedule for our events won’t be available until July 2026, this year is set to be a weekend full of swashbuckling fun, with the introduction of our Dance Competition, alongside the return of many other events such as our Variety Show.
